Renault Symbioz pairs an electric motor with a combustion engine, which alternate or operate simultaneously when required. The multimodal automatic gearbox prioritises electric driving and delivers spontaneous and dynamic acceleration while working together to reduce your fuel consumption. When you brake or slow down, your battery automatically charges with regenerative braking. No need to plug in.

a high-tech glass surface
A joint development by Renault and Saint-Gobain, solarbay® uses Saint-Gobain Sekurit’s AmpliSky® full electronic system. The technology relies on a PDLC (polymer dispersed liquid crystal) film placed between two glass plates, which, once powered by an electric current, changes the orientation of the liquid crystals. This design allows headroom to be increased by 30 millimetres, improving the aerodynamics of Renault Symbioz and assisting to improve its driving range as a result.

active driver assist#
Active Driver Assist consists of several elements: adaptive cruise control, emergency stop assist and accelerator pedal off. It assists to bring the vehicle to a stop in case of an unresponsive driver. This system constantly monitors the driver's state. If the system detects an unresponsive driver, a series of warnings will occur to alert the driver. If still no response is detected, it works to slow down the vehicle until a standstill safely. Accelerator Pedal Off alerts to release accelerator pedal to slow down depending on conditions.
360° around view 3D camera#
The four cameras help recreate a 360 view of the vehicle's direct environment, assisting you to perform your parking manouvres.2
rear automatic emergency braking#
Comes into action if it detects any obstacles whilst reversing the car, if a risk of collision is detected the brake force is increased, if the driver fails to react following an alert of an imminent collision, the system works to activate the brakes.
front detection with emergency trajectory correction#
In Renault Symbioz, steering wheel vibrations warn you if you cross a continuous or broken lane marking. If a collision risk is detected, the system assists to correct your vehicle's trajectory.
rear detection with emergency trajectory correction#
This system helps by warning you of a potential collision with a vehicle encroaching on your vehicle's lane and by automatically adjusting the trajectory to avoid a collision.
occupant safe exit alert#
The purpose of the "occupant safe exit" function is to warn the driver and/or passengers of the potential danger if they open their doors when the vehicle is stationary.
